Why is heating so noisy?
Updated: Oct 4, 2020
I’ve just turned my heating on. Very noisy. He said it wouldn’t sound like that all the time. I’m waiting for it to quieten. It’s not going to.
I’ve just looked on YouTube and to make it quiet I have to buy an acoustic noise reduction ducting tube to make that happen. Urgh.
Why can’t companies sell the right gear to start with?
There are several things I need to do to the van, but I do think I’ve got a good deal.
The windscreen needs to be changed as there’s a chip in it, on the driver’s side underneath the sunshield. Conveniently hidden from me!
Then there’s this heater
Maybe another storage compartment
Thinking of either creating another rollout bed
The bed was comfy last night, a little on the hard side, but I like it like that. I think next time I go camping, I’ll bring mum and my step-fathers bed-roll with me. Now that’s comfy. And for camping that would be so delightful!
I’m actually waiting for my parents to come right now. At about noon, they said.
Mum said she’d bring all my post with her, and I’ll do them a meal. Hopefully, they’ll bring their chairs with them, so we can sit outside. It is a bit chilly, so maybe they won't want to. That’s the reason I’m trying this heater now. Because of the noise, I’ve just sent an email to Propex themselves to ask about the noise reducer. Apparently, I need an acoustic ducting tube made out of black material, rather than that silver lined cardboard.
Can’t put up with this all night - come to think of it, I don't think my battery will either if I'm ever wild camping!
