WELLBEING: Take a breath
Have you ever been to a funfair and stopped to look around at all the hundreds of people moving quickly around you?
Sometimes, like a funfair (I have to admit), life makes me dizzy. Sometimes, I have to consciously stop myself just to take a breath.
Of late, I've had lots of those days when I've neeaded to take a breather. Family life seems painful, work life seems a strain and tasks seem to pile up while each day begins with me looking through my diary noting things that need to be done - but then I look back over the day wonder where the hours went.
Finally, though, I've managed to get rid of a bug that my web site seemed to catch, used up too much space on my hard drive! Now that's clear, the whole system works so wonderfully well. Now I'm catching-up and working extremely hard in an attempt to get step-up to the mark.
Working extremely hard? It doesn't seem like work when you enjoy it so much.
Going down a mine or fighting a fire, now that's work!
A couple of years ago, I managed to put the finishing touches to a romantic comedy that I'd had on the back-burner for some years, 'For The Love Of Sweet William' . It was a fictional tale about a 50+ year old woman who created a 'dream-boat' in order to hide from the reality of her own sad, depressing life. The tale itself was totally fictional but much of the background to it was based on the experiences I had in my own life.
Today, I find myself working to complete Book 2 in the trilogy and it's rather more exciting! Keeping in line with the title, it's called 'For the Love of America's Dream' and continues Heather's story. This time, she travels in an RV round the States with a singer who's down on her luck.
Honestly, I don't know where these ideas come from, but I find I don't have enough hours in the day to do what I love to do... write!
I also find myself working on another tale (again, based around my own experiences), this time it's under the banner of 'fictionalised fact'. I'm just putting the finishing touches to this one, with the aim of creating a whole series of books based on certain sections of my life. It's proving to be an eye-opener for me.
While I'm beavering away on these projects, I'm also assisting three writers with their books.
Nigel Lesmoir-Gordon has just published his novel 'Karma Lawyer - Courage and Love' which is a deliciously evil tale about a psychotic lawyer who commits a crime he puts others in jail for.
At the same time, I'm helping to promote Bill Geringswald's book 'Infinite Possibilities - A Spiritual Awakening'. Together, we're producing a whole series of podcasts and videos that give an insight to Bill's work. His aim is to change perceptions of folk about the world we live in - rather than feel helpless about all the disasters and horrific lives that people live, he urges us to get up and do something about it.
There's also an archaeologist, alternative-historian and presenter I'm assisting getting his work into print, that of Martin Leidke. Some folk class his ideas as outlandish, whereas I think they are rather inspiring and touch on a part of life that none of us have ever thought to explore.
Martin opens eyes wide and urges us to respond to the accepted facts, with our own questions.
Added to this, I've just bought myself a campervan - some would say a 'stealth van'. Many of the posts I've put up on Facebook about it and my exciting adventures have prompted literally thousands of responses. So many, in fact, that I'm being urged to write a book about my experiences with it. Something I had not thought of doing but, if folk demand it who am I to deny them the opportunity to read about my adventures?
I can't wait to share all of this with you. Of course, I'll post some pictures and if you have requested early info on the release of the books, then you'll get that content before anyone else does.
I’m focused on giving you the most up-to-date and cutting edge information on the new books that will be released from our BewleyBooks.com stable and so excited that you're on this journey with me. Enjoy this latest post - and be sure to share it with friends, family and your followers so that, together, we can continue to entertain through helping the world to learn new and exciting things about life. Perhaps we could encourage them too, to get off the rollercoaster of life, to stop and take a breath.
Thanks in advance.
