TRAVEL: My ideal van...
Well, it would look like the above and tick all these boxes:
Long wheel base
Show and toilet
Ability to use my convection cook top, rather than the gas hob
Freezer capacity as well as a fridge
Low mileage (under 60k)
Cost no more than £25k – the cheaper the better.
Preferably a Renault Master, but will consider other models if they can convince me of their reliability.
So, here I begin my search. I’ve joined a few Facebook pages that have a good amount of people in them so I can ask for advice. People who are ‘into’ their vans, and have learned a lot about them through their own trial and error. People who have lived the life and know what it’s all about. Also, as I will be one, I’ve joined some solo women traveller groups too.
I aim to gain their trust and to learn as much as I can from them. In the end, hopefully, I’ll be able to give back to them through my own learning and help a few newbies at this game as they join it.
Here’s my first post on my own Facebook page, which I shared with some of those groups. There were some fascinating and friendly answers for which I’m grateful for.
I found the Renault Master I was looking for. Unfortunately, the guy selling it didn't want to drop down £1k on the price. So, on with the search...
